- Most prominently spoken version is called standard/central Thai.
- Other dialects and versions of the language are spoken regionally all over the country:- -Isan (Northeastern Thai, 15 million speakers)
-Nyaw language and Phu Thai spoken in the North-eastern province of Nakhon Phanom
-Shan, spoken in pockets around Thailand in the Northwest region along the border of the Shan States of Burma.
Are a few examples. - Many of these languages are spoken by large numbers outside Thailand. Most speakers of these dialects also speak standard/central Thai, as it the language used in schools and universities.
