With some 50,000 employees, over £6 billion worth of services and products and over 800 companies, the UK subsea industry sector leads the world in experience, innovation and technology and has the potential to exploit a global market of £20 billion.
-
This fast-growing sector, similar in size to the automotive industry, is an important industry in its own right representing major, sustainable opportunities in oil and gas, marine renewables, defence and oceanology
-
Over 50% of the output is attributable to exports
-
Manufacturing accounts for around 30% of the sector
-
It is a world leader, accounting for a third of the overall global market share
UK Trade & Investment and our partners are again organising an International Business Exchange (IBE) focused on Subsea. The event will showcase the best the UK has to offer in subsea technology and innovation and provide you with the opportunity to meet companies at the cutting edge of this dynamic sector in which the UK can rightfully boast a world class reputation.

As the industry body and focal point for the entire UK subsea industry with over 230 member companies representing the whole subsea supply chain from operators to major contractors and manufacturers to small technology innovators, Subsea UK aims to increase business opportunities at home and abroad for the sector. This exhibition will give you the opportunity to meet companies and see for yourself what the UK subsea sector has to offer and to discuss the potential for working together.
